Kendra Negley
Assistant to the Founder - Theology Consultant - Founder’s Team
Kendra Negley grew up surrounded by mountains in the picturesque valley of Palmer, Alaska. It was enveloped in the rugged beauty of Alaska where Kendra learned to live in wide-eyed awe, escaped to wilderness lakes, and began to listen to the dreams and fears of the people around her. Though it’s been a few years since Alaska was truly home, the love of mountains has always stayed in her heart whether taking her camping and backpacking, inspiring her to paint, or calling her to pursue new challenges with excitement and curiosity. Not only passionate about traveling through scenic landscapes, Kendra is also passionate about the people who travel around her. After looking at the chaplaincy career throughout her life from the outside, she is excited to graduate in June of 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and a concentration in Chaplaincy from Walla Walla University. After graduation, Kendra is eager to move again to the mountains, this time to Colorado, where she will begin her Clinical Pastoral Education and pursue hospital chaplaincy with AdventHealth. Though a chaplain’s main job is to listen and support their audience, Kendra loves talking in her time off. When she isn’t fully engaged in a deep conversation with one of her friends, she’s probably thinking about a conversation either past or future, and what topic or nuance to explore next. Some favorite topics in these discussions often include philosophy and theology, how we fit into the grand story, and what story God wants to write with us.
